At Bicycle Transit Systems (BTS), our vision is simple: everyone has access to a bike. However, behind that vision lies a deeper commitment to building intentionally designed bike share systems rooted in equity and access. To us, mobility is more than movement; it is a pathway to opportunity, connection, and autonomy.
But freedom to move, to access public space and participate fully as community members is not guaranteed for everyone. The recent immigration raids highlight growing concerns about the erosion of civil liberties and the compromise of due process, dignity, and fairness across the country. They are creating fear and separating families in the communities we serve.
At BTS, we stand with those whose rights are under threat and are proudly supporting the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC). NIJC combines legal services, litigation, advocacy, and public education to defend and advance the rights of immigrants and their families. Their mission reflects our own commitment to access, dignity, and equity across all the cities we operate in.
Our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and justice guides how we serve communities—both through our bike share operations and our workplace culture—and informs our collaboration with public agencies and partners to build sustainable transportation systems shaped by, and accountable to, the people who depend on them.
